Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I learn to dance?

Of course! Everyone can learn how to dance! Our highly dedicated A Time to Dance teachers will make sure your learning experience is fun and easy.  We have trained the newest of dancers to advanced competitive dancers.  Whether your goal is to learn a few moves to be comfortable in social settings, learn some choreography for a special event, or to become a highly trained technical dancer; our teachers can take you there.

Will it take long?

You will be able to begin dancing after your first lesson. The length of your training depends upon how many dances you would like to learn and how proficient you would like to become in each dance.

How much do lessons cost?

The cost depends whether you want to take group classes or private lessons. Group Classes are the most affordable way to learn how to dance, though private lessons are the fastest. Often people do a combination of group classes and private lessons. See our Calendar for current Group Class Prices.

Can I learn the latest and most popular steps?

You can learn the steps in any or all social and nightclub dances: Swing, Samba, Merengue, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Tango, Waltz, Fox Trot, and more.

Do I need a partner?

Absolutely not! Private lessons are available for singles or couples. In group classes we make sure to rotate partners so that everyone has a chance to dance whether they have a partner or not.

What’s the benefit of taking dance lessons?

Dancing not only has physical benefits, but also mental and social as well.  Dance lessons will help improve your posture and overall physical fitness level.  Additionally, multiple studies have shown ballroom dancing to help improve mental capabilities and diminish signs of dementia.  Furthermore, many of our students have found that the world of ballroom dancing has brought a a new joy to their life and improved their overall confidence.
